Our Portland Salute: Oblation Press

Our Portland salute continues on. Part of the reason we were eager to get back to SF was because it meant we would be reunited with Paper Source, our one true paper love. We’re not sure Oblation is as good, but it is close, and of course it wins points for being an adorable, independent venture. It also seems to have its own open-air letterpress studio in the store! Which is pretty awesome.

Eh, not much to add there. But we highly, highly recommend it if you’re in the neighborhood. The cutest thing we found:

Continuing in the adorability! Portland postcards by Red Bat Press, either $2.50 for one or six different for $12

We Heart Portland! The Office Edition

So we were in Portland last week, and can we just say, we are totally pro-Portland, in a way we are not pro-many other various cities. That we will not name. Because maybe we just sa the wrong stuff. But. Portland! Totally loved it.

Office was one of our very last stops, but we loved it so much. Especially the Amy Ruppel show in the back. Gallery + office supplies = true happiness. And if we had $850 (which we sadly do not, although who knows what we’ll find on the sidewalk today), we would totally buy this. Amy Ruppel, we heart you.

“Wanting to Be There Too” by Amy Ruppel, $850

Office is at 2204 NE Alberta Street, and the Amy Ruppel show is up ’til November 24.
