Perfect Everyday Jewelry From In God We Trust

Ha! That first week of work was really just too busy. Hmm. We’re not like so into the super busy, but there it is.

When not being just entirely too busy, we rediscovered one of our favorite things about shopping in NYC: the own-brand jewelry line at In God We Trust. This is already one of our favorite stores here, because everything is super cool and not very expensive, like our favorite new white-rimmed sunglasses. Ditto the jewelry: It’s that super cute delicate stuff we always want but can rarely find.

The bitty heart necklace is the perfect example: so small! So delicate! But perfect as an everyday-jewelry type of thing. Bitty heart necklace, $80

We’re seeing arrowheads everywhere. We’re trying to figure out how to get ahead of the next trend. Rocks? Melons? Darts? We’re going to keep guessing. In the meantime: Arrowhead necklace in oxidized silver,

These are totally wear-them-everyday earrings. There is such a theme going on here. Cage stud earrings, $120

This is our favorite but we’re putting it at the bottom because it’s so expensive. Arrow Point Cluster necklace in 14k gold, $400

Our Favorite Necklaces: Sequin

When we were at Lucky, we did a story on bridal shops—and the thing we loved most about the whole thing was not a bridal dress (limited wears!) but this chunky, show-off-y, amazing necklace from Sequin. It was extremely hard tracking them down (just do a Google search for “sequin”)—but we did. (Happy ending.) To our extreme delight, they have, in the year since, not only tricked out their website but opened a pop-up shop in the Meatpacking District. What we love about them is that the necklaces are quite tricked out (as the kids say) and very special occasion-y, but not completely bank-busting. And they’d instantly dress up any number of otherwise too-plain dresses.

We focus today on the former, because it’s too cold to walk to the Meatpacking. Sequin has five collections available, and these are our favorites from each. From the starry Supernova collection (ignore the Zoom option, sorry): the Vega, $178

(We also like this one, from the same collection:

the Supernova necklace (ignore the “zoom” option, sorry), $178)

From the color-blocking-ish Rothko collection: the Hayden necklace, $138

From the leafy Theodora: the Norah earrings, $38

From the vintage-y Katherine: the Eda necklace, $68

From the glittery (best we could do) Rebel Romance: the Chantal necklace, $138
