    Something for a Smile: Sheep

With our sincerest apologies to the New York Times, who we read every day at lunch time.  These images first appeared there last week in a slide show about how wool production is moving from Australia and New Zealand to the US to fight rising costs. We've always claimed animals can talk, and, well. Here is our proof. This is an example of what we hear when we look at animals. We know, we know. We're a bit batty.

'Sup? They're totally looking at us. Totally.

-Well, I'm not looking at them. Playing it cool, dude. Totally cool.

--What're you guys talking about, huh, I don't see anyone, huh?

Hey! You there. Over here, on the side. I will make you a deal. if you let me out of this pen, I will buy you a cupcake. So. Deal? Cause, uh, I'm not so sure about this.

Oh hello! You've caught me at a most inopportune time. Would it be alright if I rung you when I was finished up here? Thanks very much!

Ugh, dude, how much did you say we get for this clinical study? I'm like $20 away from an ipod, but seriously.

Oh, er, me? Yeah, I'm, uh. I have somewhere to be. Like, now. Bye!

This was totally weird and amusing.

I love sheep and this made my morning!

this was kind of sad actually.

PETA also supports steakhouses and claim they have good vegetarian options. They're the last people I'd cite for anything having to do with anything, actually.

I come from a family of farming, I have close friends who come from - and some still live on - farms. Generally speaking, shearing sheep is annoying as shit to the sheep, but it's not torture, nor is it abusive. Are there some people who are bad eggs or whatever and are mean to their animals? Sure. But claiming that shearing sheep is torture is a bunch of nonsense.

I love animals, I don't eat meat, but I sure as hell don't support PETA and their inflammatory, insanely biased (and contradictory!) messages.
