We tried to write a little gift guide yesterday and gave up halfway through. We love Christmas. We love shopping. We just, honestly, don’t go mad for the two together. They sully each other! Sully!
Anyway: While we don’t have the heart for a gift guide, we seem to have no problem recommending super awesome gift shops. (It’s a small difference, but apparently it counts.) Task is one—especially for jewelry.
We are slightly ashamed to admit this,
But last year, when we had Dream Collective samples in the house at Lucky, we wore these around our office for three days before returning them. Shamed! Argh. But so lovely. Dream Collective necklaces, $134
What a cool, unusual bracelet. Very undercover put-together for the weekend. Annie Costello Brown bracelet, $105

This is the priciest thing on our list from Task, but we love it for the unusual colors. Vintage bead necklace, $380
Each of these perfumes has a little story attached to them, which we are totally into. Here’s the description for Nobel: “The two main ingredients of intoxicating Indian jasmine and fiery, earthy vetiver oil from Haiti are a symbol of time spent in the beautiful and spiritual country of Nepal.” How could we not want that? Each one, $48
It’s bigger than it looks—26″ across, which means it’d be perfect in a bay window over a table. Maple flock mobile, $175
We’re not sure what we’d put in here (a [decorative] egg? a rock? candy? our keys] but it sure would be nicely showcased. Glass keepsake box, $62
More from designer Annie Costello Brown. Bangles, $130

I love the glass box, I want to make a terrarium out of it! That would be an awesome gift.
Also, do people really buy perfume online? I just can’t imagine buying it just from a description and not being able to smell it first.
