Well: the most exciting fashion night of Mad Men ever? Er….
No. But there were some really beautiful color palettes, like this one above.

And again poor Allison, with her red hair, seafoam top, and olive-green—mustard?—cardigan—plus her scarab brooch .

And here: the royal blue, mustard, forest green, and … is that rust? We need a J. Crew catalogue here.
Even this is really beautiful, with Trudy’s burnt-orange dress, the deep blue-green wall, and the gold screen.

Here’s another look at Trudy’s dress.
The rest of the episode. Well. Not quite as exciting.
We did love Faye’s monochromatic look:

Though here’s Faye dressing down—not as exciting:

And a couple group shots. We’re so not into how these dresses are starting to look more 1970s than 1960s—we know it’s 1965, but please! Slow down!

Especially this one:

Here’s a couple last looks at Allison and her scarab brooch:

A couple random final shots. Oh, Peggy, and her tie-front blouses:

The French-extracted girl:

Joyce from Life, upstairs:

Trudy’s green dress and strong lips:

And finally, thankfully, Joan. Not a lot we’d want to emulate here, but still better than anything else we saw last week.

I think Alison is wearing a bee brooch. Which makes sense. She’s a hardworking girl who “sparkles” in her duties. She’s been told all her life to be good and pretty and she has discovered that being good and pretty are just not enough anymore. She’s a busy little bee.
Best line “He doesn’t own your vagina” and Peggy comes back with “Yes, but he is renting it”.
