We love the fashion on Mad Men like we love the clothes on no other show. We ended up liking this episode more for the actual story than for the fashion, which had a lot a lot a lot of bows, and not incredibly much else. (For the first time ever, we’re including a couple menswear looks. Which testifies to the fact that we liked some of the menswear but also that the womenswear wasn’t making us as insane as usual. Anyway: all our favorites are below—including Joan in one of our favorite dresses ever.

Online only! God knows we’ve had our issues with the Gap, but this is what we’d get. Though we are so against the back-to-school theme on the site (and the autumnal colors) that we almost boycotted the site.

Anyway: the boyfriend sweater, $44.50, with discount code SAVE30, $31.15. (Spend over $100 and there’s free shipping, too.)

We discussed the Six Item Experiment last week, thanks to a letter from a reader named C. (In short: Wear just six pieces of clothing for 30 days, excluding accessories, shoes, gym clothes, etc.) We are now obsessed with this, and have decided to jump on the bandwagon.

As the title suggests: We finally went to Mood—of course, best known as the fabric shop where the Project Runway people go for the material for their challenges. Above, our favorite thing, besides the actual fabric: a board—would we call it a mood board? we’re not sure—of pictures of various pieces of clothing and the material needed to make it. Inspirational, like! Here’s what else we found.

That’s model Freja Beha Erichsen, shot by Josh Olins, in the new British Vogue. Haircut!

- It’s our favorite column ever, in which we pretend we have $100 and take it to a mall shop. This week: Forever 21

- It was our Corey Lynn Calter week here at Bunnyshop, complete with interview and sale item selection

- Our favorite Reader Mail of basically ever is about the Six Item Experiment

- Our jewelry designer of the week is: Nervous System!

- Two Mad Men items, because it’s the most amazing thing in our universe right now: an interview with Janie Bryant and her QVC line, plus our favorite looks from last season

- This week’s discount is for the lovely Sa Sa jewelry—we love the Heartstrings bracelets!

- And finally, our BS heart of the week goes to….

Candystore Collective is one of our favorite shops on the planet. (We are so tired we just wrote “shoppes.”) We used to live around the corner from it, in the Mission, and we would stop by every time we walked to the BART station. Anyway: They’re having a great sale, and these are a few of our favorite things from it—though we recommend checking it out in its entirety.

We love all three things on that model above, though we can only identify the sweater: Josh Podoll crop (OMG we just typed “crap.” Jesus sleep deprivation argh!) cardigan, was $138, now $118

Still pricey for a t-shirt but we quite like, and significantly on sale. Popomomo Bauhaus top, was $94, now $68

We’ve written previously about our love for Corey Lynn Calter. These are really super-duper on sale. CLC Marilyn cigarette pants, were $168, now $78

Can we add again how much we totally, totally love reader mail? Here is the letter we received this morning, after sleeping for five hours and dreaming about being abducted by terrorists:

Hi!
I’m thinking of participating in this: sixitemsorless.com
But I’m a little scared (and also a little thrilled) at the idea. What do you think?
C.

We know we’ve been a bit “Mad Men” crazy here, but honest to God, it’s the best show on TV, and the fashion is ridiculously amazing. We’ll be back on Monday morning, of course, with our favorite looks, but we thought it was worth offering a few of them from last season’s most amazing episode—”The Souvenir,” which was the one when they went to Rome. (N.B., the most amazing one that was not the finale.)

Honestly, that tiny little Olivia bag is like $12 of happiness. We love LeSportsac. We’re not sure if it’s our Vera Bradley (like, other people see it and are like, “What the fuck is that girl thinking?” but we just want like every piece in the line. Also, it is our favorite shop at the Woodbury Common outlet center (and please do see our three-part round-up of our favorite stores there) because there are many Olivias—regularly $20, but everything’s 40% off there, so $12!

If you can’t get to Woodbury Common—$20 isn’t much for this level of tiny organization. It fits: our camera, our iPod, and our Metrocard, plus there’s a key ring for our (you guessed it) keys, and even our bear whistle! Dreamy.

This is the Olivia in the “Smarty” print, $20. Recommended!

We are really curious what people think about LeSportsac. And Vera Bradley.

We spend loads of time talking about what we love – but this time, we’d like to know what YOU love (or, what you think you might love). Here’s the deal. We have a $75 gift card for Sephora. Do you have products you swear by? Let us know, and maybe we’ll try them out. Are there things there that you eye up every time, but can’t quit commit to buying? Tell us what, we’ll pick the most interesting/appealing/awesome ones, and we’ll test it out (under $25/each, please, so we can try a few things). We’ll try pretty much anything – as demonstrated by a primer lesson, pore minimizer test, shimmer spray trial run, and eyeliner party in one trip.  Our only ban is on things we’ve already owned.

Give us ideas, and we’ll hit the store as soon as we can!
