We are having the HARDEST time right now – we know what Suze Orman would say. We do not have 8 months of emergency savings tucked away. We have credit card debt. We may even have a past due parking ticket. We are in no shape to be spending money.
Generally, we’re totally fine with that; but today we got an email letting us know Calvin Klein is having a 1 day sale, 40% off! How exciting! We generally find Calvin Klein clothes boring as can be, but for mid-priced accessories? And bedding? We’re so in.
Right now, we’re obsessing, just a little, over a pair of sunglasses we know we should not buy but we just love.
Large circle sunglasses, orig. $68, now $41

Dude, but the sunglasses.
Er, that’s “buy.”
buy the sunglasses they’re only 40 bucks, they’ll last awhile and you like em whats better than that
I say no. What’s the point of saving $27 when it’s going to sit on credit card? Besides CK quality isn’t great these days, compared to other companies with similar price points. I say in bad times, just don’t look. Save up for a quality splurge.
Hey, this is Delphine w/ the winning ‘buffing beads’ entry from your September DIY beauty tips contest — I was just wondering if you ever received my email with my address + info? I never heard back about the YES skincare prize…?
PS – I vote that unless it’s true love with the glasses, save up & mentally stow that cash away for a luxe purchase. (or, say, on shopbop’s sale!) xo
I’m curious. Did you buy the Sunglasses?
I’ll admit I have almost no will power when it comes to things (sales) like that. I am a marketers dream – I’m just too easy.
