We always hate these ads with those little instructional quotes: “The new bell leg is the jean silhouette of the season. Wear it long, so that your hem skims the floor.” We saw this as former Gap Kids employees—the Gap basically taught us how to dress, as unbelievably worrisome as that sounds—but we do not believe the new bell leg is the jean silhouette of the season, and we do not appreciate the fib-telling.
Today’s small contest:

We love these small wipes! V. convenient. Just tell us your jean silhouette for fall, or your new favorite denim brand. Winner takes the wipes! And an array of British chocolates.
And yesterday’s winner: Jess! Be sending the delivery address!

A friend of mine has some very dark wash wide-leg jeans that I am coveting for my fall wardrobe. It’ll be different for me because I haven’t worn wide-leg since my jr. high cargo pants days.
I love David Kahn jeans! They are long enough and fit in the waist, always a challenge.
I like J& Company. I got a pair at Filene’s basement two years ago and I still looooooove them and wear them
New fave: Genetic Denim. Silhouette for fall? Don’t know. . . I’m resisting fall.
Actually a bell leg, long type thing for me this fall, and the brand.. IT! jeans (which I learned about here on bunnyshop). They fit amazingly super duper.
I have a pair of wide leg, dark wash, American Eagle jeans that I plan on wearing as much as possible this fall. If only my company didn’t have that stupid ‘No Denim’ policy.
For me it’s still going to be skinny jeans because here when it’s fall, it gets WET and before I wore skinny jeans, my hems always dipped into the water and made 1/2 my leg wet. Lucky thing I like the look of skinny jeans too. =D
It’s always obvious {and somewhat embarrassing to witness} when a company attempts to force a new trend like that.
Several years ago, I was all about Diesel then I flitted around to lots of other random denim brands. Now I’m a Diesel girl again. Love love love the new styles.
I’m still going strong with skinny jeans. I have some grey ones I cannot get enough of, and the typical dark wash.
The skinny jeans will still hang around for a while but I’m going to start sporting some wide-leg jeans too. And new favorite brand of jeans has got to be Helmut Lang.
My new favorite denim brand is Express. For years I would not go in the store, and I recently bought a pair of jeans there while I was on vacation and desperate–they are my new favorite pair!
I will definitely go back there for more!
Joe’s. I never thought waistless me needed “curvy” jeans, but they fit perfectly – no gap in the back!
I love J Brand jeans!!
I am still clinging to the skinny leg for Fall (no pun intended!). Loving my black J Brand pencil leg jeans.
High-waisted and wide-legged. More flattering (and classier) than super ultra low rise crap. Lux makes a good pair.
Oooh foxy 70s!
Controversy is key. I just bought a pair of vintage bootcut Levi’s that are super soft, hang loose around the hips and can be rolled (but not too tight!) up–definetly more Joe Strummer than Katie Holmes. Anyway, I think these jeans paired with a black bodysuit (or tight, solid, tucked in top), men’s belt and flats will bring some diversity to skinny jean domination. Bonus points for comfort!
My pick? I’m pretending its summer still, because the weather has been awfully un-summerish in toronto. I’ll be rocking some light wash skinny leg denim til Christmas. With flip flops.
You had me at “fibtelling.”
