In today’s Reader Mail:

Dear Bunnyshop,

This is ridiculously basic, but I am so bewildered: I keep seeing girls around me who have the ability to tie a scarf in such a way that it stays on their heads. I cannot do this! I so want to do the head-scarf summer thing. Please help!

Love,
T.

Argh! We have absolutely, positively, no idea. None at all. But we bet someone out there does. Bobby pins? Hairspray? Tape? We shrug. With aggravation. Teach us!

  1. Search for “tie head scarf” on youtube and you’ll find a bunch of videos that show you how. I learned how to tease my hair this way.

  2. Hermès made a scarf book a long time ago with pictures and instructions on how to tie a scarf. I leave this book on my dresser and flip through all the time for inspiration! There are some really classy, chic, french-looking ways to tie a head scarf. They have it it pdf format online:

  3. Oh, those Hermes pdfs are great! Thank you for posting the links.
