Because we have been thinking: "We are having a milestone birthday in 2 weeks and we hate wrinkles"
Beauty product: Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
What Kiehl’s says its does: "This creamy preparation with Avocado Oil, gently moisturizes the
delicate eye area. Our unique, concentrated texture does not migrate
into your eyes. Ophthalmologist-Tested. Dermatologist-Tested."
What we think: We do not have eye issues, other than actual vision issues and dry eyes. We do not have dark circles, wrinkles, or puffiness. This has allowed us to be REALLY lax in our eye-area protection. Like we rub off eyeliner with spit, we do not wash off mascara. Basically, unless we have visible dirt, sometimes we won’t wash our face. It’s worked thus far (we even had a facial once and the facialist was all HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR SKIN SO CLEAR? And she was appalled when we said, Uh, we don’t wash it. She said, Oh, just water for you? And we said, No. Nothing. At all.
Genetically, we have great skin (thanks Mom and Dad!). But, we live in a city with pollution, we squint, we tug. We have a big birthday coming up. So, we figured we’d try an eye treatment. Because we wanted one that was simple rather than earth-shattering, it was an effort to find the right one. We tried a different Kiehl’s one that gave us small red patches. So, we returned it and tried this one. We were a little unsure about the pot aspect (how dirty can we be? But the saleslady was like, well you put this on after you wash your face so you’ll be clean! Er, not really). But, it absorbs quickly, isn’t really greasy, and you only need the tiniest bit. It’s been a few weeks, and no adverse affects. No amazing affects, but nothing bad. And that’s better than good, we think.
Stars(!): * * * *. No miracles, but no surprises. We’ll take that. Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, $24.50
